Construction Industry Safety Violations: Top 10

According to an article by Cintas, “[OSHA reports] out of the 4,386 worker fatalities in private industry during 2014, 899 or 20.5 percent were related to construction.”  This effectively means construction accounted for one in five worker deaths that year.  The article goes further to says that the OSHA analysis showed the following “fatal four” violations account for over 60% of those deaths:

Falls  (39.9 percent)
Electrocutions  (8.2 percent)
Struck by object  (8.1 percent)
Caught-in/between  (4.3 percent)
